I am a qualified, experienced counsellor who believes that people and their problems really can change, that
life can be more fulfilling and that the right counselling relationship can help.
I am warm, non-judgemental, respectful, insightful, competent and genuine and seek to really understand who
you are and how you experience your life.. For me, these are some of the key ingredients for a successful counselling relationship,
in which clients can feel safe and supported and therefore able to talk about and experience their often difficult
and painful feelings and experiences.
I have more
than ten years experience of providing emotional support to people in education and their homes and have worked as a counsellor
in a GP surgery, in a college of further education and in private practice.
I have an Advanced
Diploma in Humanistic Counselling, a first-class honours degree in psychology and am a qualified, experienced teacher working
with young people with emotional difficulties. My full qualifications are listed below.
I
am a member of the British Psychological Society, the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy and of the General
Teaching Council. I am fully insured and adhere to the BACP code of ethics. (see
